Subtraction Action

This activity is a hands-on way for your student/s to practice subtraction within ten. You can play it in several ways!
Some ideas for play include cutting along the dotted vertical lines to create strips, then having students cut the corresponding subtrahend. Another idea for students who are already competent with scissors is for them to cut the strips to match the subtraction equation. Alternatively, you can place these in dry-erase pockets and have students cross out the objects and write their answers.
